Lefkara Classic 2026

The Lefkara Classic is an endurance road sportive through the villages and pine ridges above Lefkara, in the hills of the Larnaca district. This is its sixth edition. Everything below follows the organiser's own site first and the Visit Cyprus events listing second. The two differ on the route figures, so use the organiser's numbers, which it marks as provisional until race day.

The routes

The Visit Cyprus listing gives about 150 km and almost 5,000 m of climbing for the main route, and says the course passes the Machairas Monastery and the Pitsilia wine route through villages including Farmakas, Alona, Zoopigi and Ayios Constantinos. Treat those as the broad picture and the organiser's table as the plan.

Rules to know

• Navigation: the full course is not marked, only a few key points, so each rider must load the route onto their own GPS device.
• Roads: the ride uses open public roads, so the highway code applies throughout.
• Cut-offs: you must cross each checkpoint before its cut-off, or your time is not scored and you are no longer an official finisher.
• Bikes: no e-bikes or pedal-assist bikes, and no flat-bar bikes such as mountain bikes.
• Litter: littering means disqualification.

Race week

Visit Cyprus says the event runs as a four-day race week from 12 to 15 November, with social rides, training talks, cycling film screenings and meet-and-greets. The organiser's site mentions on-site events such as welcome parties and film screenings, and lists feed stations, a finisher medal, timing and finish-line food.
